An original painting of the Lake District Cumbria signed by R.Barraurd 1961, as original water colour painting in original frame painted on board.

We are looking into some further information about the artist, the painting was source in Western Lake District, Cumbria, North England.

Painted on watercolours with an acrylic affect (i.e.e slightly dense and less use of water) it features a soft greyed palette capturing the moody landscape and the ever changing weather and light associated with this region.

A stormy scene with torrential rain.

The frame has been painted a soft grey colour.

The title of the painting has been added in marker to the back at a later date.

38cm x 33xm x 3cm

Dated 1958.

-Notes-

As seen condition with wear and chips to the paint on the frame and aged discolouration ( wehavn;t cleaned the painting itself).

The painting remains vibrant with rich colour.

The surface is clean and there is no craquelure, damage or paint loss however there is some white paint in the upper left section (also on the back of the frame)

Back is original with original nails and inscribed with marker pen on the frame.
